Meet the Maker!

Oh hi there!

We have had a ton of new followers recently which is amazing, hello! So, I thought I’d introduce myself ??‍♀️

I’m Loti Maria and I started Mama Makes on Mother’s Day in 2017. I wanted to bring sentiments to the market that I loved, but I couldn’t find as clear stamps. From there I have grown the business and we now also sell patterned papers, metal dies, washi tapes, ink sprays, storage, acrylic blocks and more! ?

At the core of Mama Makes is a community of wonderful creatives. I love to get on board designers from all over the world to give them a platform for their artwork and spread the joy to the arts and crafts market while paying them a fair commission. I love to collaborate, not compete. ✂️

With occasional the help of my husband and my 6 year old Charlie, we design the stamps, a UK company helps us with the manufacture, they get sent to us and we put them on the acetates one by one, pack them onto a backing card, into a cello bag and into an envelope with so much love ♥️

At the beginning of this year, I started Stampscription, sharing my love for happy mail. Each month I pack our signature blue boxes with brand new exclusive designs in gorgeous luxury vellum with a fabulous sheet of inspiration from the design team. ?

But who am I? I’m a 28 year old mama of two boys, Charlie (6) and Harvey (7). I work 12 hour shifts as a TV producer and run Mama Makes on my days off. I married a wonderful spanish man called Esteban in 2017 who deals with my crazy creative ideas and makes them into realistic goals.

I have been crafting since I was a child, rushing home from school to watch Art Attack and making a mess in my room. My mum’s neighbour was a Stampin’ Up demonstrator and introduced me into this wonderful world of stamping and die cutting, I was hooked. I also love to sew, crochet and cross stitch, I give anything a go!

I studied television at university and I remember on moving day, one of the first things I set up was my sewing machine!

I gave birth to my son a week after my university results came out and on maternity, found myself watching the craft shopping channels and started a blog called ‘Mama Makes and Bakes’… little did I know this would grow into my very own arts and crafts brand! I got a job on the craft shopping channels I loved, combining my two passions, making television and crafting. I met some amazing contacts and the rest as they say, is history! ?
