It’s the first of December, doors on advent calendars are opening, tiny Elves are getting up to mischief and the countdown to Christmas steps up a notch. It’s cold outside but the kettle is on for a nice cup of Hot Chocolate (With all the trimmings?) is just what’s needed while making this lovely card created by Diane.
Yummy Hot Chocolate Card by Diane Williams
You will need:
2020 Christmas collection stamps 15cms square kraft card blank
Card in blue and white
Chunky white embossing enamel and heat gun Black ink pad
Colouring pencils
White gel pen
Black fine liner pen
2mm foam tape
First sprinkle an even layer of chunky white embossing enamel onto front of kraft card base and heat from below. Keep your heat gun moving as it is very easy to burn your card if not careful.
Next cut eight 4cm circles from blue card, then add a black dot edging to each one using your fine liner black pen.
Using your mug stamp from the 2020 christmas stamp collection, stamp out eight mugs adding circle pattern to three of them and stripes to another three using your black liner pen. Then colour and cut out.
Add foam tape to back of all eight blue circles and mugs. Then mount circles onto card front round edge. If you add a bit of wet glue to foam tape it will give you a bit of wiggle room to get them even spaced. Now you can mount mugs onto each circle.
To finish, stamp sentiment onto white card, cut out and then mount onto blue card leaving a small border all round, then add black dot border using black fine liner pen to edge.
To bring the mugs to life, using white gel pen add dribble of cream running down front of each.
