Watercolour inspiration – Alison Markham

Hi,
To make this card I have used the Watercolour Inspiration stamp set.
To start I cut a piece of white card to 6.75 inches by 2.5 inches. I then chose one of the sentiments from the stamp set and using smokey grey versafine I stamped the into the piece of card. Some overlapped the edge of the card. I then used the watercolour splodge with a blue ink pad to highlight one of the full sentiments.
I then cut a piece of silver mirri card to 6.75 inches by 2.75 inches and matted this behind the piece of card with the sentiments. I repeated this step with a 3inch wide piece of black card.
Then I cut a piece of silver pearlescent card to 6.75 inches by 4.75 inches. I used a 5 x 7 inch embossing folder to emboss a pattern. I used Card Making Magic’s Quatrefoil folder. I wrapped two pieces of ribbon around this piece and stuck down on the reverse. I then mounted this on to a 5 x 7 inch card.
Next I stuck the sentiment strip to the left hand side of the card using foam pads.
Finally I added a double bow of the ribbon next to the sentiment strip and added some blue flatback pearls to embellish.
