Snowflake Central – Nicky Cresswell

Snowflake Central

by Nicky Cresswell

Hey there fellow Makers, Today i’m sharing a quick Christmas card …
The months are flying by and i’m determined to get myself prepped and ready in plenty of time!
For this card you will need:
MAMA MAKES X COPOLOP-CHRISTMAS HUG STAMPS,
CARD BLANK, WHITE STAMPING CARD, KRAFT CARD, TAPE RUNNER/DOUBLE SIDED TAPE, PAPER TRIMMER,
DISTRESS INKPAD’S, A BLACK VERSAFINE INKPAD, A WATER BRUSH, ACRYLIC BLOCK, INK BLENDING TOOL.
I started by cutting 3 bits of card in consecutive squares getting smaller,
The middle one in the same kraft colour as my base card.
I used the snowflake from the stamp set in contrasting blue tones of distress ink to
create a border around the larger piece of white card I had cut.
Next I stamped one of the super cute characters in versafine black ink onto the small bit of white card,
I pressed some distress ink onto an acrylic block, and used the water brush to pick up the colour and add it to the image, creating a soft watercolour effect.
Once dry I again used the snowflake to create a border around the image.
I used an ink blending tool around both stamped pieces to finish the look.
Then it was just a case of layering it all up using my trusty tape runner
I hope you have enjoyed today’s make… Are YOU ready for Christmas yet!!!
Hugs Nicky x
