Hi Everyone, Nicky here, This is my first post for Team Papercraft and i’m excited to be here and to share my ideas with you..

So today I want to show you how to make some really quick but effective cards that anyone can have a go at.

They are nice and simple and you don’t need a whole lot of supplies… They are also great if you need a card in a hurry!

I am working with the gorgeous Tracey Hey Woodland stamps today.

So firstly you will need:

Kraft card blanks.

Your stamps and acrylic block.

Black ink pad of your choice {depending on how you plan to colour/or not your image}.

Some white cardstock to stamp on.

A fine black pen.

Scissors / Glue

Optional extra: shape punch and colouring mediums

Firstly you’re going to stamp out the images you want,

I’m using up some scrap paper, but you want to leave enough room around each image for the next step.

Next you’re going to take your stencil and place it over the stamped image selecting the area of that image you would like to become the focal point. Use your pen, {preferably in the same colour as the stamped image so when you cut later it looks like part of the design}, to draw an outline around the selected image.

Cut out the images and your almost done… see I told you they were quick.

Another option is to use a punch,

I picked the area I wanted to use, pressed the punch enough to hold the paper and used it like a stencil, I then punched… The only downside to this method is it leaves a small white border, So in hindsight you could just punch the image and then use a marker to colour round the edge.

Grab your kraft card base and have a play with placement… I always try different combo’s before sticking anything down. You may decide you don’t want to use all the images you’ve stamped, and that’s ok as you can always make another card with them.

You can also at this stage decide whether to colour your images or not… The reason I choose the kraft card is to give a nice background contrast to both coloured or non coloured images.

Then to finish all you need is stick your images in their chosen place and add a nice sentiment {I stamped mine directly onto the card base but you can mat and layer if you prefer}

and voila…

I hope you’ve enjoyed this quick and easy card idea. If you give it a try i’d love to see what you make, so either join the Mama & Friends facebook group or leave your links in the comments below so we can all come see.

Take care and Happy Crafting
