The First Mama Makes Crafternoon!

Hi guys, Diane here!

Thought I would share my projects from the very first Mama Makes Workshop and I can honestly say it was a resounding success.  We had a relaxing and entertaining afternoon laughing, talking and crafting…..and just in case we were flagging, there was cake and chocolates to keep us going (shame I’m on a diet!)

After a lovely introduction, we started with a nice warm up activity, stamping and making some gift wrap, there was a bit of good natured rivalry regarding who got to use the favourite characters from the Coppolopolaro sets, but as these are massive sets packed with fabulous little festive creatures, there were plenty to go around.

Next Loti introduced us to Oxide Inks and using them on fabric, we were all supplied with a cute little drawstring bag and after Loti showed us how to stamp and activate them on the fabric, we all got stuck in creating our own gift bags.

While the inks were out we moved onto to doing some blending round the edges of a tag, which we then finished off with a great hessian frame….perfect for the Cosy Christmas stamps

.

Finally, we made a little card which gave us the opportunity to expand on the blending, with bleaching with water technique.

The whole afternoon flowed so well, and whilst we had structured activities we had plenty of freedom to use the ideas in our own way and we had lots of fun test driving some great products and great stamps.  What a lovely way to spend an afternoon especially sharing it with old friends and new……..

There is one thing wrong….now I’ve got to wait until Loti hosts another one!
