Step 1: Stamp a large paint splats from the watercolour essentials set in a selection of colours.
As there are lots of PRIDE events happening this month I decided to honour that with a rainbow selection.
I started from the centre and worked my way out to ensure everything fit nicely in the space.
Step 2: Use the Live Love Laugh stamp on the 1st, 3rd and 5th splat.
A little tip if your not too precious about your stamps is to snip the 3 words apart… This gives you more options when stamping with words like these.
I found that using them together even though I had cleaned the inked part of the stamp {or so I thought, as you can see in the pic} it left a ghost image and I had to re-do it!
If your not willing to cut your stamps you could always use masking tape over the already stamped part.
Step 3: Use the same distress inks to make swatches of colour on some scrap bits of card big enough to be about to punch out 1 butterfly in each colour.
Step 4: Assemble your card, positioning your butterflies on their corresponding coloured splats.
Alternatively: You could mix it up by contrasting the butterflies for a completely different look!
A simple yet eye catching card made with minimal supplies in no time at all.
And just by changing the colours, wording or the punch you use, the possibilities are endless for many more striking cards.
See you again soon.
