Alongside over 60 stands selling the latest in craft supplies, the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts show will offer visitors fantastic and inspirational features as well as on stand demonstrations and dedicated workshop areas. With their modern twist on a traditional favourite, Kids Bee Happy, Dartford will be on hand to show little ones how to make sand pictures. Suitable for anyone over the age of three years, the activity is both fun and easy. Children can enjoy letting their imagination run riot to create their very own sandy masterpiece which they will be able to take home to take pride of place on the fridge.

Marbling 4 Fun will be teaching visitors how to create beautiful and colourful designs using their child-friendly kits. Children and adults can try marbling with Make and Take sessions at the Marbling 4 Fun stand. Designs can be ‘painted’ onto any natural fibre making it highly versatile. From wall hangings to light shades and handmade boxes to decorative mirrors, visitors can turn their marbling creations into beautiful pieces for the home with this mesmerizing and intuitive process.

Children and adults can also try their hand at jewellery making with Totally Beads who will be running bracelet making classes. Using larger beads and mesh the process is quick and easy and very creative. Visitors can work with a fantastic array of colours to create lovely pieces to wear or give away as presents.

Alongside the workshops and on-stand demonstrations, the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts show will feature the world’s first and original life-sized knitted garden with some new additions. This enthralling exhibit is celebrating its 10th anniversary and was created especially for the show in 2006. It is the handiwork of hundreds of knitters and crocheters from all across the UK and offers a visually rich and charming display of colour and detail.

Other show features include the exhibit: Nature & Artifice produced in the Midlands by the region’s Contemporary Quilt Group who took their inspiration locally from Wrightwick Manor and further afield at Kelsmcott Manor in the Cotswolds. Influenced by the Arts and Crafts Movement and its fascination with simple forms and the natural world, the group have used only traditional craftsmanship to create stunning pieces of art.

The Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts show is a treasure trove for craft lovers with something for everyone, including all areas of creative hobbycrafts, sewing and stitching. Visitors will be spoilt for choice and enjoy a day packed with crafting fun, workshops, demonstrations, awe-inspiring features and a hall full of supplies. From papercraft to jewellery making, dress making to glitter and quilting to stained glass copper foiling there is a vast array of creative crafting to try and buy at Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts.
